1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, subscription details you choose to import, statement or receipt content you upload or forward, generated scripts, cancellation outcomes, and actions you take within the platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve our AI-generated cancellation and negotiation scripts
- To process payments securely via Stripe
- To authenticate your account via Clerk
- To send you important service updates (no marketing without consent)
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Anthropic — AI processing (your email/statement content is sent to Claude for subscription detection)
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Clerk — Authentication
- Convex — Database and backend hosting
- Resend — Transactional and cancellation email delivery
- Plaid — Bank connection processing if you opt into bank sync after beta
4. Data Security
We encrypt sensitive data (bank access tokens, email tokens) at rest. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use industry-standard practices to protect your information.
5. Your Rights
You can export your account data from Settings at any time. You can also request deletion from Settings; TrimSpend deletes or anonymizes subscription records, scripts, imports, connected-token records, API keys, and savings history, then attempts to delete your Clerk account. You may also email privacy@trimspend.com for help with either request.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
